It requires BAAs covering every subprocessor that touches PHI, including the model provider, a data path that keeps PHI out of uncovered systems, minimum-necessary access, and a complete audit trail. Full compliance also depends on your own policies and training, which no vendor can provide for you.

Yes, and with AWS. That covers the model and infrastructure layers of the builds we ship. Where a project needs a component we cannot get covered, we design PHI out of that component's path rather than accept the risk.

It depends on the system and its API surface, and we will tell you honestly during the first week rather than after contracting. Where a modern API exists, yes. Where the only route is screen-scraping a legacy client, we will say that the integration is fragile before you pay for it.

How do you handle patient data in the model context?

Minimum necessary. The model sees the least data required for the task, PHI is redacted where the task does not need it, and everything that does pass through is inside the BAA-covered path. Every access is logged.
